Alexandra Silber directs Pace University School of Performing Arts first-year students Kevin Csolak and Bethany Tesarck in an adaptation of Ovid's METAMORPHOSES with text from the play by Mary Zimmerman, additional choreography by Noah Racey, and music by Willy Schwartz and Antigoni Goni. Broadway Artists Alliance, a New York City-based musical theatre training program, kicked off their 10th season with a star-studded concert as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday night. Performers, as well as instructors and alumni sang their all-time favorite show tunes. The cast included Laura Benanti (left, by Seth Walters), Jenn Colella, Andrea Burns, David Ayers, and Heather Parcells, who were joined by BAA Alumni Liz Byrne, Emma Howard, Kyle Taylor Parker, Ruby Rakos, Emerson Steele, Bethany Tesarck, and Clay Thomson. Proceeds from this event will benefit the BAA scholarship fund, which provides $10,000 in scholarships each year.

Broadway Artists Alliance, a New York City-based musical theatre training program for ages 8-21, wull kick off their 10th season at Birdland tonight. Performers will sing their all-time favorite show tunes, and will include instructors, alumni, and staff

Kidz Theater will present it's fall Mainstage Musical, Cabaret, music by John Kander & Fred Ebb, book by Joe Masteroff, directed by Kristen Caesar. Cabaret stars a cast of New York City's most talented professional young performers, including Jenny Mollet of Broadway's The Color Purple. The production runs today, November 9th-18th.

Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Bye Bye Birdie, Who's Afraid of the Virginia Wolf) and Allie Trimm (Bye Bye Birdie, 13!) spent Sunday, November 15 mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as they led the morning portion of a Bye Bye Birdie-themed master class with Broadway Artists Alliance.

On October 26th and October 27th, a private industry reading of the musical A Day in the Life of Gloucester will take place, featuring Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Shrek), and Broadway vets Christopher Sieber (Shrek) and Lenny Wolpe (The Drowsy Chaperone). Lonny Price (A Class Act) will direct the reading at Chelsea Studios. The musical features a book by Bob Walton with music and lyrics by Jim Walton.

Bye Bye Birdie celebrated Opening Night, yesterday evening, Thursday, October 15th at the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street). Bye Bye Birdie stars John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Bill Irwin & Nolan Gerard Funk with Jayne Houdyshell, Dee Hoty, Matt Doyle, Jake Evan Schwencke and Alllie Trimm.

Under the Bridge, written by Kathie Lee Gifford, and David Pomeranz opened on January 6, 2005 at the Zipper Theater.
