The Garden Theatre (160 W Plant St.) is proud to present the musical comedy La Cage aux Folles showing September 25 - October 25, 2015. The presenting sponsors of La Cage aux Folles are Bob and Dianna Duffy. La Cage aux Folles is also sponsored by Insight Credit Union and Toole's Ace Hardware. The media sponsor is Watermark Media, and the orchestra recording sponsor is Starke Lake Studios. This marks the first professional production of this musical produced in Central Florida since 1990.

Produced by Beth Marshall Presents, Cydney Clark will be performing her Coming of Age Cabaret at The Abbey August 24 at 8 p.m. Clark's appearance is a special performance of The Abbey's Monday Night Cabaret Series.

The Garden Theatre, located at 160 West Plant Street in historic Winter Garden, is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Theatre Season, running from September 2015 -May 2016. In addition to the five full-length theatrical presentations, the StarLite Film Festival and the Bluegrass Concert Series, the season will be dotted with weekend events such as music and dance concerts, as well as movies and holiday offerings. The Winter Park Playhouse's Spotlight Cabaret Series will premier, popular cabaret artist and performer, Janine Klein's newest cabaret, Let's Fall In Love!, tonight and tomorrow, February 17 & 18, in honor of Valentine's Day. Playhouse musical director, Christopher Leavy, will accompany on piano.

Theatre production company Beth Marshall Presents' latest play at the Garden Theatre is an exceptionally challenging one; for artists and audiences alike. One would be safe to assume that with a title like DOUBT: A PARABLE the play will focus on the varying ways in which one can experience the emotion; and while that is true, on closer examination, the far more important aspect of the play's title comes after the colon; 'A PARABLE.' Beth Marshall's production of this 2004 Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning play is anchored by a four-person cast which gives uniformly stirring performances, but one in particular might ultimately undermine the larger lesson which playwright John Patrick Stanley was looking to teach.

Mad Cow Theatre Presents, Wesley Slade in THE WHO'S TOMMY - October 3-November 2. Come on the Amazing Journey for this mind-expanding tale of the world's first Pinball Wizard-turned-Messiah. The Who's Tommy started out in 1969 as a double-album and was an instant hit with critics and fans. The rock opera then went on to spawn a film in 1975 and the Tony Award-winning Broadway version in 1992. The original album has sold over 20 million copies world-wide and was inducted to the Grammy Hall of fame in 1998.
