Outfest, the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing, showcasing and protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) images, has announced an original and diverse programming lineup for Outfest 2010: The 28th Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The nation's leading LGBT festival and the oldest film festival in the city will be held July 8 to 18.

JD3atrical Productions will be presenting Del Shores' first new play in over seven years, the world premiere of Yellow, written and directed by Del Shores' (The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife, Southern Baptist Sissies, Sordid Lives) and produced by Louise Beard, Emerson Collins, Jason Dottley and Del Shores. Yellow will begin previews on Friday, May 29 at 8pm and will open on Friday, June 11 at 8pm and run thru Sunday, July 25 at the Coast Playhouse, 8325 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood.

The third annual GAYFEST NYC, the country's premier festival of new gay-themed plays, will be presented June 3-6, 2009 at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street, New York City.
The not-for-profit GAYFEST NYC, Inc. develops new LGBT works for world stages and film and television production and provides in-school elective programs and scholarships for students of Harvey Milk High School. Since June 2007, GAYFEST NYC has presented seventeen scholarships to graduating seniors.
