Black Ensemble Theater Announces an Open Run for ALL IN LOVE IS FAIR

The Black Ensemble Theater World Premiere of 'All In Love Is Fair' opened this past March to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. This unique take on traditional love stories, is produced and directed by Black Ensemble Theater Founder and Executive Director Jackie Taylor and choreographed by Rueben Echoles. 'All In Love Is Fair' features an incredible ensemble cast as well as music from renowned artists such as Luther Vandross, Brook Benton, James Ingram, Gladys Knight and Roberta Flack. The show kicked off the 2011 Season at the Black Ensemble Theater, 4520 N. Beacon Street, and is now on an open run.
Cherry Lane's Fiordellisi to Step Down as Artistic Director in 2011

According to the NY Times, Cherry Lane Theatre's Angelina Fiordellisi, will resign as Artistic Director sometime between March and June of 2011. Additionally, Fiordellisi plans to sell the building, which has been a Greenwich Village staple since 1924, due to ongoing financial struggles.

Today, President Barack Obama named fifteen recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Medal of Freedom is the Nation's highest civilian honor, presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors. The awards will be presented at a White House ceremony early next year.
