The winners of the "48th NAACP Image Awards" were announced tonight during the live broadcast from Pasadena Civic Auditorium which aired on TV One. The two-hour live special was hosted by Anthony Anderson. There was a live pre-show from the red carpet hosted by Nischelle Turner and Terrence Jenkins including Tai Beauchamp and Chris Spencer as special correspondents.

American Theater Company (ATC) and the National Public Housing Museum (NPHM) have announced a new partnership to co-create and pilot an educational curriculum in Chicago Public Schools based on ATC's critically acclaimed The Project(s) - a documentary play on Chicago's public housing conceived, co-written and directed by ATC's late Artistic Director PJ Paparelli and co-written by Joshua Jaeger.

The National Portrait Gallery is to stage the first exhibition to pair the works of contemporary artist Gillian Wearing with the innovative early-twentieth century photographer Claude Cahun as part of a spring season that also includes the first exhibition devoted to the portraits of the British painter Howard Hodgkin, it was announced today, Thursday 29 September 2016.

The Unsigned Only Music Competition, geared toward musical artists who are unsigned to a major record label or its affiliates, announced its 2015 winners today. The competition recognizes the best in up-and-coming artists worldwide and acts as a benchmark for excellence in contemporary music. Winners were selected from 7,000 entries from all over the world and represent musical genres in contemporary music. More than $100,000 in cash and prizes is awarded to a total of 26 winners.
