Elton John's THE RED PIANO To Play Final Show On 4/22
by BWW News Desk - Apr 22, 2009

Elton John will close his Las Vegas Strip Show 'The Red Piano' on April 22. The show first opened in February of 2004 at the Colosseum theater at Caesars Palace and was extended past the original 75 show commitment. The closing show will be the 241st performance. He has survived the ups and downs of musical stardom for over 30 years. Commercially, creatively, on stage and on record, Elton John is a legendary artist - one who is still as relevant as ever. Elton John's finely honed stage presence, a winning factor in targeting his tunes straight into the heart of America, is excess incarnate. In The Red Piano, the showy costumes are replaced by incredible video imagery and stage props, yet the end result is unmistakably classic Elton John.
