The quintessential backstage musical comedy classic 42nd STREET will celebrate a two-week engagement at Segerstrom Center for the Arts with a sparkling new production, November 10 - 22. 42nd STREET will be directed by co-author Mark Bramble and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the team that staged the 2001 Tony Award® winning Best Revival.

As previously reported, the World Premiere of PRINCE OF BROADWAY, a new musical celebrating the extraordinary six decade Broadway career of producer-director Harold Prince, will play from October 23-November 22, 2015 at Tokyu Theatre Orb in Tokyo, Japan and November 28-December 10, 2015 at Umeda Arts Theater, Main Hall, in Osaka, Japan. Now, New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin steps into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from tonight, August 11, through August 23. Beginning August 25, Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut in the role for 12 performances only, through September 6.

Fairchild will be succeeded by New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin, who will step into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from August 11 - 23. Beginning August 25,Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut as 'Ivy Smith' for 12 performances only, through September 6.

This just in... The Tony Award nominated revival of ON THE TOWN will conclude its run on Broadway on Sunday, September 6 following 28 previews and 368 regular performances, making this the longest-running Broadway production of the show since the 1944 original.

When Bent first premiered in 1979 its persecution of gays in Nazi Germany was a real eye opener. This was before the onset of AIDS...in the first scene, the depiction of Max's (Patrick Heusinger)one night stand and his gay relationship with a dancer could have been taken right out of contemporary West Hollywood were it not for the fact that we are told up front that the play takes place in 1934-36. The violence against gays that follows is staggering and horrifying. Deep down we knew that being homosexual had built-in problems and tensions, but did we really think about it so seriously? Did we really know how ugly it all was back then? And what about now? In spite of marriage equality in the US, in Kenya and in other areas of the world, the struggle for sexual freedom unbelievably goes on...to this very day. In a rare revival, Moises Kaufman brilliantly directs this new production of Bent at the Mark Taper Forum, and you'd be a fool to miss it. The cast is extraordinary, and Martin Sherman's poignant lyricism is simultaneously funny, touching and thoroughly riveting from moment to moment.
