Two new versions of the hit holiday pop classic JERSEY CHRISTMAS, written by Marlboro, NJ native and American Songwriting Award Winner Ben Rauch are being released to YouTube this week. An adult choir version of the song was released today, and a kids/teen choir version will also be released in the coming days.

The event benefits the Jane Elissa Endowment Fund for Leukemia/Lymphoma Research, as well as Cancer research, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, and other charitable causes. The evening is sponsored in part by Bridgehampton National Bank and Manhattan Mini Storage. Celebrities who have attended and/or been honored at past events include Kelly Ripa, Josh Duhamel, Michael Weatherly, Cameron Mathison, Mark Consuelos, Sarah Michelle Geller, Jacklyn Zeman, James Barbour, Mauricio Martinez and Michael J. Q. Smith Hosts LEAP Event, 2 NYC Students On To August Wilson Nationals

Q. Smith, featured cast member of Broadway's Come From Away, hosted the 10th annual New York City August Wilson Monologue Competition, sponsored by LEAP (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program, Inc.). Two winning students, first place Teslyne Junior of Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, and second place Victoria Lino, of Repertory Company High School for Theater Arts in Manhattan, will move on to the National August Wilson Monologue Competition on Broadway in May. Anthony Perez, also from Repertory Company High School, took third place and is the alternate. The presentation was held March 5 on Stage 2 of New World Stages, 340 W. 50th St., New York, N.Y.

It's the pop/rock creation of New Jersey native singer/songwriter/actor Ben Rauch, who performs lead vocals and composed the music for the song which he co-wrote with songwriter Gaby Gold. The music video was shot entirely on location in New Jersey, and features Jersey Shore beaches along with the Asbury Park landmark 'The Stone Pony' (the historic rock club known for launching the careers of Jersey heroes Springsteen & Bon Jovi). Single Room Occupancy, a new pop/rock comedy musical will be presented as part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival on August 14, 17, 20, 21 and 27.  Written by and starring popular theatre, film and television actor  Ben Rauch (HBO's Girls, Jersey Boys-The Movie, Gossip Girl), Single Room Occupancy has lyrics by Gaby Gold, Rory Scholl, and Ben Rauch, set design by You-Shin Chen, lighting design by Suzanne Immarigeon, sound design by Joshua D. Reid, choreography by Jebbel Arce, musical direction by Noriko Sunamoto  and will be directed by Joey Murray. The musical will run at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre at Culture Project (Venue #13), 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette) for five shows only.
