Deadline reports that Richard Kind has joined Ben Rappaport in USA's comedy pilot LOVE IS DEAD, written, directed and produced by Zev Borow, based on a French short film of the same name.

PICNIC Concludes Limited Broadway Run Today

Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of Picnic, in association with Darren Bagert and Martin Massman, closes today, Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). Since opening on Jan. 13, PICNIC has played 47 regular performances. It opened for previews on Dec. 14, 2012.

Review - Picnic

The women who took over the American workforce during World War II were abruptly expected to quit once the boys started coming home.  And while many looked forward to settling down with a traditional Mr. Right and staying home to raise 2.7 babies, there were others who were torn between the safety of normalcy and their yearning for something more dangerous and adventurous when William Inge's Pulitzer-winning Picnic premiered on Broadway in 1953.
