Below, meet the cast and creative team of the Off-Broadway premiere production of the new musical Marry Harry, with book by Jennifer Robbins (Hudson River Blues) and music and lyrics by Dan Martin and Michael Biello (In My Body, The Cousins Grimm)! 

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Interim Executive Director; David McCoy, Chairman of the Board), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, announces the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical Marry Harry, with book by Jennifer Robbins (Hudson River Blues) and music and lyrics by Dan Martin and Michael Biello (In My Body, The Cousins Grimm).

When a down on her luck pet store clerk discovers she's actually landlocked mer-princess Calamaria, Fruit of the Sea, her life is turned head over fin. With her trusty sidekick, Jimmy the Lobster, Calamaria travels to central Florida's premiere mermaid attraction, Weeki Wachee Springs, to reclaim her tail and save the oceans from Garbage Island. Inspired by the Twitter account @_floridaman, roadside Americana, sea shanties, and the truth about climate change, this dark musical comedy plumbs the depths of identity and obsession to explore the line between harmlessly ridiculous and deceptively dangerous.

The stellar cast for the season is loaded with Broadway veterans--some of whom are making their Music Circus debuts--Tony nominees, and audience favorites from previous Music Circus productions.

The Legend of New York, with music by Joshua Salzman and book and lyrics by Ryan Cunningham, is a Sodom and Gomorrah story set during the 1977 New York City blackout. An angel appears to a NYC cop and sends him on a quest to find three souls worth saving by sunrise or else the city will be destroyed. This funk-infused new musical celebrates '70s New York in all its grungy glory-taking you from Central Park to Times Square to CBGBs to, of course, the legendary Studio 54.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. This month, Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will partner with NYMF to showcase a series of late night salons featuring the work of over 20 musical theater writers. The writers of five NYMF shows will be participating in the Salon-A-Thon, including the 2015 Next Link Selections 210 Amlent Avenue, Manuel Vs. The Statue of Liberty and The Cobalteans.
