Neighborhood Theatre Group (NTG) is proud to present DISPATCHES FROM THE DUMB DECADE, a new musical by A.M. Dean, March 1-3 and 8-10 at Growing Hope's Robert C. Barnes Sr. MarketPlace Hall (16 S. Washington St) in downtown Ypsilanti. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $12 online, $15 at the doors, $7 Students (w/ a valid ID). The famous mezzo soprano Fredericka von Stade is in San Diego this week rehearsing Three Decembers, one of several works written with her in mind by her close friend Jake Heggie. The chamber opera for three singers and 11 musicians will be performed three times next weekend at the 500-seat Patrick Henry PHAME Theatre. Von Stade recognized Heggie's talent long before he wrote his first opera and has been an influential champion ever since. Their friendship and collaboration have benefitted both. In my interview with her in a San Diego Opera rehearsal room she said, 'He's given me a second career with parts in Dead Man Walking and Great Scott, and a lot of song cycles. He's my guy.'

Once again, Angela Barnes sold out show after show at last year's Edinburgh Festival, and picked up some well-earned critical acclaim along the way. Now she brings that show, ROSE TINTED, on a tour of the UK in 2019.

Jon Robertson, dean of Lynn University's Conservatory of Music and Philharmonia guest conductor, today invited the public to attend 12 musical events this March and April, including three performances of the classic Lerner and Loewe musical Paint Your Wagon, and the Class of 2019 in concert.

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), recipient of 62 Helen Hayes Nominations, announces that Broadway's Amber Iman will perform at its 2019 Mad Hatter's Honest Tea Party Gala, honoring Seth Goldman, Co-Founder and TeaEO Emeritus of Honest Tea and Executive Chairman of Beyond Meats, on March 14, 2019. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on the ultimate backstage experience to see Broadway's Hamilton, the musical (of which Amber Iman was part of the national cast) and take a backstage tour. Adventure Theatre MTC's 2019 Pre-Professional Company will sing with Amber Iman at the culmination of the evening performing Stephen Schwartz's (Wicked, Godspell) Colors of the Wind.

KT Sullivan brings her run of 'I Can Cook: When Barbara Met Wally' to the Birdland Theater in NYC for a 4 night run (Feb. 27th - March 2nd).

As part of its Dance-mopolitan Featured Artist Series, DANCE NOW is pleased to present acclaimed choreographer Zvi Gotheiner's 2016 work On the Road, a multimedia dance piece inspired by Jack Kerouac's famed novel of the same name. Performances are Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27, at 7pm, at Joe's Pub.

Disney Theatrical Productions, Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) and Broadway Across American (BAA) announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's Aladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, March 1  at 10 a.m. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances in Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park on Thursday, June 6 for a limited engagement of 3 weeks through Sunday, June 23.
