Neighborhood Theatre Group (NTG) is proud to present DISPATCHES FROM THE DUMB DECADE, a new musical by A.M. Dean, March 1-3 and 8-10 at Growing Hope's Robert C. Barnes Sr. MarketPlace Hall (16 S. Washington St) in downtown Ypsilanti. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $12 online, $15 at the doors, $7 Students (w/ a valid ID). NTG is thrilled to premiere the first full production of this pop/rock musical by Ypsilanti's own A.M. Dean! DISPATCHES FROM THE DUMB DECADE is a new musical for a new millennium, a new president, and a new media. Veteran reporter, Brenda Marsh is tempted by the delights of cable TV punditry as journalism student Nick Kowalski, and friends, take us on an anti-nostalgic trip through the first decade of the twenty-first century. Join us as we travel back to the 2000s to laugh, cry, and scream in terror at the dawn of fake news, reality TV, strategery, and energy drink cocktails. DISPATCHES FROM THE DUMB DECADE is directed by Kristin Anne Danko and stars Marisa Dluge, Jess Feathers, Kylista Geiger, Eric Hohnke, Alice Kepchar, Maegan Murphy, Paul Popa, Mike Sandusky, Angela VanKempen, and Craig VanKempen.

Writer A.M. Dean is a native of Whitehall, MI and was voted Runner Up for "Best Writer" in Current Magazine's Best of Washtenaw 2018. He's had numerous plays and musicals produced throughout the midwest including CRYPTIC, BEAVER'S LONG STRANGE TRIP, and CARL, BABY (Michigan), THE FORMER THINGS (Michigan and Chicago), ESCAPE FROM THE HALTZBURG BOY'S CHOIR and 15 MINUTES (Chicago). A.M. Dean is a resident of Ypsilanti and a proud company member and co-founder of Neighborhood Theatre Group.

Neighborhood Theatre Group is dedicated to cultivating a welcoming and collaborative environment for theatre artists in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Featuring original works, sketch shows, cabarets, and self-produced videos - NTG believes in theatre's ability to bring individuals together. NTG was founded in 2015 by theatre artists Kristin Anne Danko and Aaron Dean after moving to Ypsilanti from Chicago's experimental theatre scene.
