Annette Warren, the 'secret' singing voice of Ava Gardner and Lucille Ball in such films as the MGM classic 'Show Boat,' and a nightclub, TV and recording star whose career spans the past 70 years, will make a long-awaited return to New York at the age of 94, with a special performance of her new one-woman show, 'I Ain't Done Yet' at Feinstein's/54 Below on Thursday, March 30 at 7:00 PM.

Barbra Streisand has made no secret of saying that when it comes to this election, which she considers to be the most important of our lifetime, she's with Hillary Clinton. Streisand has campaigned for Secretary Clinton at events and performed at fundraisers, and today the legendary performer released a touching video of her duet with Jamie Foxx, 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain,' which appears on Streisand's latest album, Encore.

A few feet away from the stage of the Winter Garden where Lainie Kazan played a Ziegfeld showgirl and understudied Barbra Streisand in 'Funny Girl', a celebrity filled audience and devoted fans got to see Lainie appear on the legendary Iridium nightclub's  stage.   

In a homage to the ladies, cabaret singer, Gerry Mastrolia is a man who sings songs... sung by women. The show is chocked full of impersonations, stories and songs. 'Buyer and Cellar' is an outrageous comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs. Jonathan Tolins' Buyer & Cellar stars Nick Cearley ('The Skivvies') as a struggling Los Angeles actor who finds himself working in Barbra Streisand's basement!

The Friars Club hosted a one night only event last night that will be remembered for many years by Ben Vereen.  Chita Rivera brought him to the club for what Ben thought was a small dinner in his honor.  When Ben walked out of the elevator the huge mahogany  doors of the Milton Berle Room and Barbra Streisand Room swung open to a capacity crowd of Friars shouting "SURPRISE" and singing Happy Birthday.   It was an emotional happy celebration as Ben's many friends toasted the legendary performer and humanitarian.  Friar Board Member and Chairman of the Friars Admission Committee Bill Boggs officially made Ben Vereen an Honorary Friar.  As Bill pointed out to Ben in his presentation,  " I have the power to bestow this title on you….. being an Honorary Member entitles you to walk into the club at any time, enjoy a great meal in the Frank Sinatra dinning room…..and pay for it! "  

Farah Alvin, Roger Bart, Haven Burton, Eden Espinosa, Capathia Jenkins, Andy Karl, Rob McClure, Orfeh, Gabriella Pizzolo, Keala Settle, Margot Siebert and Shanice Williams will star in Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening benefitting the Humane Society of New York, on Sunday, October 23 , 2016 at 7 pm at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, will be awarded the Humane Society of New York's Sandy Fund Award, in recognition of his deep concern and support of the needs of rescued animals. The Award will be presented by Tony Award-winning actress and animal rights champion Bernadette Peters.
