The touching new play 'Spring at the WIllowbrook Inn' by Jonathan Van Dyke and Douglas C. Evans, will make it's NY premiere as part of The Fresh Fruit Festival July 26-29. 'Spring at the Willowbrook Inn' follows the lives of Cooper Stanwyk and Joshua Hill from their first meeting in 1967 at a motivational conference. This unlikely pair develop a deep relationship based on mutual understanding and love as their lives unfold separately. Through correspondence and decades of meeting at the Willowbrook they become a pivotal role in each others lives, supporting each other through the unpredictabilities each one faces.

Tony Award nominee and Broadway veteran, Barbara Walsh, brings Terrence McNally's Master Class back to its birthplace when she portrays legendary opera diva, Maria Callas, in a production of the play at Alpine Theatre Project (ATP) in Whitefish, Montana tonight, June 15 through June 24. The Tony Award winning play was originally developed at "The Gathering" playwriting conference in nearby Bigfork, MT in the early 1990's. ATP's production is the first professional production of the play in the area. It is directed by David Ackroyd.

The Peccadillo Theater Company announced complete casting today for the sold out industry reading of Sherri Heller's new comedy MY MOTHER, MY SISTER & ME, starring Valerie Harper, this Monday, May 14th at the DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th Street). The presentation will be directed by OBIE Award winner, Dan Wackerman. Along with Valerie Harper, the cast will feature Marcelo Pereira, Anthony Reimer, Randy Schein, Barbara Walsh, Zoe Winters and Remy Zaken.
According to the New York Times, theatre review FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, which began back in 1982 and hasn't been seen in New York City since 2009, will make a return this summer. Creator Gerard Alessandrini revealed that previews will begin on July 17 at the 47th Street Theater. Shows set to be spoofed this time around include: Ghost, Spider-Man, Newsies, Once, and more.
