Derby Dinner Playhouse brings back a solid chestnut musical with promising results.

Known for her powerful and riveting vocals, Symphony Siren and Broadway Diva N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical and Sondheim and Sondheim) makes her debut with the Sophisticated Ladies concert at the Sarasota Performing Arts Center with Tony Nominee Montego Glover and Capathia Jenkins. These three Leading ladies will take the stage by storm with the Philadelphia Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Steve Reineke.  Its a one night only event Saturday August 16, 2017 at 8:00PM following a pre-performance talk at 7:00PM with conductor Steve Reineke.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of legendary actress and recording artist Barbara Cook, who passed away on Tuesday, August 8th at age 89. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory on Wednesday, August 9th at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

Cook gave a master class at the Library for the Performing Arts on February 21, 2006. Watch below as she shares her priceless expertise with students from to students from the Manhattan School of Music and NYU/Steinhardt School.
