The Joe Allen Players will return after a sold out engagement at Don't Tell Mamma's earlier this year with an all new version of Broadway Bombs.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the directors, music directors and preliminary casts for the eight musicals being presented as 45-minute staged readings for its 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

The fifth season of the acclaimed Monday Nights, New Voices series Continues March 30th at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Legally Blonde's Kate Shindle, who will return to Birdland for her solo show, classic, March 23rd, will host the evening featuring the talents of Mathew Burrow, Natalie Elise Hall, Darius Harper, Danny McNie and Amy Toporek. Show time is 7 PM.

American Idol runner-up, Justin Guarini, starred in the industry only Equity staged reading of the new musical THE AWAKENING OF ANGEL DeLUNA - with book & lyrics by Judylynn Schmidt, and music & lyrics by Lee Ellis.

Erin Davie, who co-starred in Broadway's Grey Gardens, will host the January 26 Monday Nights, New Voices' concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. The 7pm concert will celebrate the work of composer and lyricist team Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham. Those scheduled to perform are Wade Dooley, Wade Elkins, Jennifer Lorae, John Pinto, Isabel Santiago and Ali Stroker.
