Today is the day! The Blackhouse Foundation goes live at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival at 11am , launching four days of conversations, discussion, discourse, and celebration of the culture's thought leaders in film, television, and visual media of all kinds. As of this morning, a full slate of programming ramps up.

The Blackhouse Foundation proudly announces Facebook will serve as a Premier Sponsor of its presence and programming at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival January 25-28 in Park City, UT. This continues a longstanding relationship between the organization and the leading social network. 

The Blackhouse Foundation and BET Networks extend their longstanding partnership with the selection of 10 Black MFA students from across the country to serve as participants in the BET Networks-Blackhouse Fellowship Program at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival January 25-28 in Park City, UT. As part of this alliance, these two cultural powerhouses return with year two of this celebrated program.

BET has cancelled Hit the Floor after four seasons, according to Deadline. The show was created and executive produced by James LaRosa.

NBC will air 'Elvis All-Star Tribute' on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019 from 9-11 p.m. ET/PT. Yesterday marks the exact date (Dec. 3, 1968) 50 years ago that the ' '68 Comeback Special' aired on NBC and played a pivotal role in relaunching Elvis Presley's career.

Tracy Oliver's “The First Wives Club” series will now air on BET instead of Paramount Network as originally planned, according to Variety.

BET Networks is set to premiere 'Q85: A Musical Celebration for Quincy Jones,' a star-studded evening that celebrates the life and legacy of the icon. The special was taped in September at the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, and will premiere on BET Networks on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 8:00PM ET.

BET Networks announces new political thriller “RUNNING OUT OF TIME” premiering Saturday, December 1 at 8 PM ET/PT on BET and BET Her. Newly widowed Brenda Harper, played by Tasha Smith, and her family are taken hostage over a deep secret from her late husband's past. “RUNNING OUT OF TIME” stars Tasha Smith as Brenda, RonReaco Lee as Cain (friend to Brenda's family), Telma Hopkins as Dolly (Brenda's mother) and Sydney Elise Johnson as Kristen (Brenda's Daughter). The original film is Executive Produced by Christopher B. Stokes and Marques Houston for Footage Films.

Originally developed and produced as an indie film franchise, BET has licensed the content to air this dynamic production in an explosive way. Meet the Duncans, a prominent family from Jamaica, Queens living fast and luxurious. By day, they're an upstanding family; by night, they live a dangerous secret life. The patriarch of the family, L.C. Duncan (Hudson), is at the age when he's starting to think about retirement and has to decide which of his children should take over his thriving exotic car dealership. The Duncans quickly come under siege from some of the top politicians, mafia and drug cartels in the city. BET Networks today announces the nominees for the 2018 Soul Train Awards across 12 different categories. The annual celebration will recognize the best in Soul, R&B and Hip-Hop from legends to the next generation. Filming on November 17th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, BET presents: 2018 Soul Train Awards will air on BET and BET HER on November 25th, 2018 at 8PM ET.

BET Networks and Paramount Players announce winner of its nationwide competition, “PROJECT CRE8”. After a nine-month-long search, Quincy Ledbetter from Brooklyn, NY was crowned the “PROJECT CRE8” winner. The once-in-a-lifetime contest is giving one aspiring, undiscovered filmmaker the potential opportunity to produce a feature film with a million-dollar budget. The contest culminated at the BET Networks Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, September 28 where five finalists pitched their film to a panel of television and film executives. Quincy's original script, “Alieu the Dreamer” rose to the top of the heap and was selected the winning script. “Alieu the Dreamer” is based on a world where humans haven't dreamed for three decades, and a driven government agent discovers a struggling young man in the projects who has started dreaming. BET will purchase Quincy's screenplay and work with him and Paramount Players to produce the original script.

BET Networks today announced Kelly Price and Kelly Rowland are boarding AMERICAN SOUL, the newest scripted drama series that chronicles the untold rise of Soul Train. The powerhouse singers will pull double duty on the music-based series, showcasing both their incredible voices and acting chops. Kelly Price joins the cast as a series regular, while Kelly Rowland will portray Soul legend Gladys Knight, who was instrumental in launching Soul Train to national prominence. Rowland will also record an original version of Knight's classic hit, 'Midnight Train to Georgia' for the role.

Halle Berry and Lena Waithe will executive produce the BET series currently in the works, Boomerang, according to Variety.
