Choreographers Revealed for Spring 2015 BC Beat

BC Beat, the bi-annual choreography showcase established to support, explore and experience innovative theatrical dance, announces a line up for Monday May 18th featuring nine choreographers with work performed by a company of 40 artists from Broadway's biggest hits.  The evening kicks off at 7pm with music by DJ Justin Johnston (RENT) at Cielo (18 Little W. 12th Street).

A new play for a new year! Kitchen Theatre Company is happy to present the latest work written by and starring Kitchen Theatre Company's Artistic Director, Rachel Lampert (Soup Comes Last, Tony and the Soprano, Bed No Breakfast, In the Company of Dancers, and many others). A search for forgotten friends and memories leads to reunions of all kinds in this heartwarming new play filled with music, dance, and Lampert's singular wit. Count Me In begins previews on January 14, with opening night on January 17.

For the fifth show in their 42nd annual summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre will present the regional premiere of 'Shipwrecked! An Entertainment - The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont, as told by himself.' Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Donald Margulies, this play promises to be a unique theatrical experience for young and old alike. Performances of this adventure tale will run from August 14 - 24 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on August 16, 18, and 21 at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production below!
