Last night, the cast of Hamilton bid happy trails to Tony winner Daveed Diggs, who played his final performance as Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson. Check out video below from the actor's final curtain call.

Daveed Diggs, who won the 2016 Tony Award winner for his performance as Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, will play his final performance on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St.) on Friday, July 15. While the roles are being recast, Lafayette/Jefferson will be portrayed on Broadway by long-time understudies Andrew Chappelle, Austin Smith and Seth Stewart.

KAREN OLIVO, who electrified audiences with her Tony Award-winning portrayal of Anita in the 2009 Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY, returns to the stage as the brilliant and beautiful Angelica Schuyler in the Chicago production of HAMILTON, it has been announced by producer Jeffrey Seller. Joining Ms. Olivo in Chicago are Broadway veterans MIGUEL CERVANTES as Alexander Hamilton, and ALEXANDER GEMIGNANI as King George III.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, who continues his Tony nominated role in SHUFFLE ALONG through July 24, will begin performances mid-August (date TBA) as Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway. Dixon takes over for Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr., who played his final performance on Saturday, July 9. 

Could there have been a happier bunch last night than the cast and creative team of HAMILTON? The show took home a whopping eleven Tony Awards, giving the company plenty to celebrate after the festivities concluded at the Beacon Theatre. This season features an episode guest starring several cast members from the Broadway phenomenon HAMILTON including Jasmine Cephas Jones, Javier Muñoz, Sydney James Harcourt, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Daniel J. Watts, and Austin Smith.

On the occasion of the 60th birthday of an esteemed professor and former dean, The Hartt School will host a free concert celebrating the music of Larry Alan Smith tonight, November 3, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. in Berkman Recital Hall on the campus of the University of Hartford. Hartt faculty, alumni and students will gather to perform works composed by Smith spanning five decades from 1975 through 2015.

It was a starry night at Feinstein's/54 Below on October 22, 2015, with performances from Tamara Tunie, Jarrod Spector and Kelli Barrett, Phillipa Soo and with special guest performers Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Steven Pasquale.
