The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival's 2019 season features a diverse array of world-class artists presenting programs spanning multiple genres, and offers first-time and veteran concertgoers alike the chance to experience the intimate thrill of a live performance.

'Would you rule justly?' the ancient Greek philosopher who serves as title character of Tim Blake Nelson's drama Socrates asks a fellow citizen who claims he would do a better job than the current political leaders. 'I'd rule to make Athens great,' answers the metal-craftsman, whose support of the current war might be influenced by the income he receives molding breastplates and spears for soldiers.

Tippet Rise Art Center, today announced full program details for its fourth concert season, to be presented over the course of seven weeks from July 12 to September 7, 2019. The season's artists will perform 23 recitals and chamber music concerts both indoors and out at the scenic art center, which is set on a 12,000-acre working ranch at the foot of Montana's Beartooth Mountains. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) has announced the details of its 2019-20 season. Titled Milestones, this celebration of CMS's 50thanniversary will feature the most expansive presentation of chamber music in its history - from its beginnings up to today - through worldwide performances, numerous educational initiatives, and a multi-media exhibition at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. CMS will continue to expand its already extensive free digital offerings, releasing a 50-episode podcast series highlighting some of the best performances from the last five decades.
