The Hangar Theatre Company continues its 45th summer season with the beloved musical, Into the Woods, with matinee and evening performances from June 28 to July 13. This landmark work features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine with direction by Hangar Artistic Director Michael Barakiva.

The Hangar Theatre will present 2018 successes, programming updates, and officially vote in new Board members at their Annual Meeting on March 18, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the theatre (801 Taughannock Blvd., Ithaca). The Hangar Theatre will present A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum as this season's musical from June 29 until July 15, 2017. The musical combines the classical Broadway fare, the comedy of ancient Rome, and a healthy shake of vaudeville.

Kitchen Theatre Company opens its 26th Main Stage Season with the regional premiere of Robert Askins' delightfully shocking Hand to God, directed by Rachel Lampert, now through September 25. Opening Night is tonight, September 8. Nominated for five Tony Awards, Hand To God is irreverent, hilarious and profoundly truthful about the human condition and its relationship to death, religion, sexuality, and family dynamics.  Kitchen Theatre Company's 2016-17 season marks the start of the theater's second quarter century. From the world premiere of Wendy Dann's Birds of East Africa to the hilarious encore production of Precious Nonsense, it promises to be one to remember. Darian Dauchan's Death Boogie showcases his mastery of multi-character solo work, accompanied by live musicians on bass and violin. It is a hip hop musical that is part performance, part concert and all Darian. Clean Alternatives by Brian Dykstra was ahead of the curve when first produced, with its focus on the environment and our shared responsibility to ensure a sustainable planet. Alexander Thomas' Throw Pitchfork is a brilliantly performed solo performance by one of KTC's favorite actors.Sex With Strangers by Laura Eason explores the high-powered, cutthroat world of publishing and two passionate writers' relationship to fame and to each other. Opening the season is the irreverent, buckle-your-seat-belts, Tony-nominated Hand To God by Robert Askins.

FitzandStartz Productions continues its inaugural season in March 2016 with an original musical for all ages. I HAVE A SONG TO SING, O! features book by Rachel Lampert and music by Gilbert & Sullivan. I HAVE A SONG TO SING, O! runs for four performances only: Today, March 26 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, and Saturday, April 2 at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Funny and full of surprises, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER opens for previews on Sunday, January 31 and runs for eighteen performances, through February 21st.  

The 'deliriously funny' theatrical ensemble [By The Mummers], recently heralded as 'a raft of comic knockouts' by Backstage, will team with Dylan's Candy Bar and Moonshine Clear Corn Whiskey for the first ever theatrical event at the candy wonderland.
