Theatre Y is pleased to announce the Chicago premiere of Hector Alvarez's one-man American epic about gun violence THE GHOUL EXHIBITION, directed by Melissa Lorraine. THE GHOUL EXHIBITION will play on February 2, 9, 16, 23 at 9pm at the Prop Theater, 3502-04 N. Elston Avenue Chicago, IL 60618, as part of Rhinofest, the longest-running multi-arts fringe festival in Chicago.

The Drama League Announces Two-Day Workshop, 11/21

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) will welcome Augusto Boal's legendary theatre company from Brazil, Center For Theater of the Oppressed, for a rare two-day workshop to share Boal's acclaimed methodology for arts and activism.  The workshop, led by longtime CTO company members Geo Britto and Monique Rodrigues,will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 and Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at The Drama League Center (32 Avenue of the Americas).  For additional  information or to reserve spots in the workshop, visit http://dramaleague.org/events or email studiolab@dramaleague.org.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), has released Brett Bailey and Diane Rodriguez's World Theatre Day 2014 messages. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft the International Message, which is then translated into more than 20 languages to mark the global occasion. This year, TCG has renewed their tradition of asking a noted U.S. artist to also reflect on the themes of World Theatre Day.
