AtticRep is travelling to India on June 30th to collaborate with our sister city in Chennai, India on a Forum Theatre Project based on the work of Brazilian theatre artist Augusto Boal, founder of Theatre of the Oppressed. Chennai is one of eight sister cities established through San Antonio's Economic Development Foundation that bridge cultural gaps and ignite international economic development in the arts, education, business development, sports, leadership, research, technology, etc.

The framing device for 'Not by Bread Alone' is the baking of bread, an activity that is labor-intensive at first but which also allows plenty of time for family and friends to hang out and swap stories while the dough rises, with more tales to tell when it goes in to bake. The bulk of 'Not by Bread Alone' consists of the performers introducing themselves, talking about their lives and dreams, and acting out a few of their dream-scenarios along the way.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), has released Brett Bailey and Diane Rodriguez's World Theatre Day 2014 messages. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft the International Message, which is then translated into more than 20 languages to mark the global occasion. This year, TCG has renewed their tradition of asking a noted U.S. artist to also reflect on the themes of World Theatre Day.
