The supernatural power of love is taking East Lansing by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical GHOST THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, opens at Wharton Center for Performing Arts, December 10-15, 2013. GHOST THE MUSICAL is directed by Tony Award® winner Matthew Warchus (Matilda, God of Carnage, The Norman Conquests, Boeing-Boeing) and choreographed by Ashley Wallen ('The X Factor,' Kylie Minogue, Seal, Madonna's film WE). The musical features book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, The Time Traveler's Wife) who has adapted his Academy Award-winning original screenplay for the stage, and original music and lyrics by a team of Grammy Award winners, including Dave Stewart (half of the multi-Grammy Award- winning Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror, Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill).

Full casting has been announced for the UK Tour of GHOST THE MUSICAL, beginning at the Wales Millennium Center, Cardiff, in April.

The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is to tour throughout the UK opening at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions are by Paul Kieve, choreography is by Ashley Wallen, video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken. The UK tour is being produced by David Ian Productions, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Colin Ingram, and Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle. Full casting for the tour will be announced later this year.

According to the Herald Sun, GHOST, which was to make its Australian premiere at Her Majesty's Theatre in August 2013, has been postponed due to poor advance sales. Producer Louise Withers told HS: 'It's always disappointing when there is a postponement like this but it's a very complicated business. Initially we thought we would be able to use the UK set but it will take too long to transport it in Australia where the market has to be reduced, based on the shorter seasons the show has had in the UK and the US.'

GWB Entertainment and Shanghai Culture Square Theatre are excited to announce a return season of Ultimate Broadway 2012. The concert series opened the Shanghai Culture Square Theatre last year and starred Eden Espinosa, Lea Salonga, Ria Jones, Kevin Kern and Brad Little. Due to the major success of the concerts, a return season is on sale for October 2012. The multi-million dollar venue has been developed as both a producing and receiving house specializing in Musical Theatre.

Ghost The Musical will play its final performance on Broadway tonight, August 18th at 8pm, after 39 previews and 136 regular performances. Ghost The Musical opened on April 23, 2012, at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, having begun previews on March 15th.
