With a forty piece orchestra providing stunning accompaniment to the wit of WS Gilbert and the wondrous music of Arthur Sullivan, Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Victoria presents an afternoon of music and merriment at the beautiful Ian Roach Hall, located at Scotch College, Hawthorn, renowned for it's outstanding acoustics.

This summer, Lamplighters Music Theatre will present Gilbert & Sullivan's masterpiece THE MIKADO in theatres throughout the Bay Area.

'Gilbert and Sullivan?', you might say. 'Who are they? What are their last names? Are they some kind of alternative rock band, or perhaps a rap duo?'

Running July 22nd through Aug 7th: 'The Mikado is absolutely timeless,' says John DeGaetano, artistic director for North Bay Stage Company, resident theater company of Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa.

Lamplighters Music Theatre will present Gilbert & Sullivan's masterpiece THE MIKADO in theatres throughout the Bay Area this summer. This new production has been moved from the traditional setting of a fictitious Japanese village to that of a bustling little town in Renaissance Italy, the world of Michelangelo, Leonardo and Botticelli, and the home of rapid cultural exchange, scientific advancement and artistic creativity.

This topsy-turvy opera is a feast for the eyes, the ears, and the heart! Michelle HachÈ stage directs with Jeffrey Jones-Ragona as music director. Nine performances will be presented at the Worley Barton Theater at Brentwood Christian School, †June 16-26, 2016.

Curated from deep in the heart of the Shaw Festival's mandate period, Engaged is a hilarious romp through the Scottish countryside where love triangles abound. Written by W.S. Gilbert before his renowned partnership with Arthur Sullivan, Engaged comically comments on the facade of Victorian life, with particular satirical attention on the obsession with wealth. This romantic comedy begins its first engagement at the Royal George Theatre tomorrow, June 15.

Triumphant Mikado Returns to Adelaide after National Tour at 7.30 pm May 6 - 7 and May 13 - 14 2016 and 3pm 8 and 15 May 2016 at Thomas Edmonds Opera Theatre, Adelaide Showground, Wayville.

After a hugely successful whirlwind tour of country regions in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, the 2016 Mikado troupe, comprising performers from both Co-Opera and the G&S Society, return to Adelaide for a short season of six performances only at the Adelaide Showground. Bookings are now open for this joyful G&S romp. Seating is cabaret style and byo refreshments and food.
