The Madison Theatre presents West Side Story in Concert.

Bay Area Musicals (Matthew McCoy, Founder & Artistic Director, and AeJay Mitchell, Managing Director) has announced the show titles for its upcoming fifth season, which will include four spectacular titles. The 2019-2020 seasonwill include the powerful 6-time Tony Award-winning GYPSY (November 9 - December 8, 2019), the hysterical 10-time Tony Award-nominated THE FULL MONTY (February 15 - March 15, 2020), the game-changing Tony Award-winning Best Musical A CHORUS LINE(April 11 - May 10, 2020) and Lin-Manuel Miranda's pre-HAMILTON career-making Tony Award-winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS(July 11 - August 9, 2020). GYPSY and THE FULL MONTY will perform at San Francisco's Alcazar Theatre (650 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA 94103) and A CHORUS LINE and IN THE HEIGHTS will perform at San Francisco's Victoria Theatre (2961 16th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103). Bonnie Milligan has joined the cast of Wicked Sings Birds of Paradise at Feinstein's/54 Below! One of Off-Broadway's most beloved cult musicals, Birds of Paradise, returns to New York City, with a star-studded Broadway cast, many from the hit musical Wicked. The show will be performed on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 7pm & 9:30pm.

Everything's coming up roses this spring at The Contemporary Theater Company! The company will perform the classic musical Gypsy April 12 - May 11.

At Theater West End, you've entered the world of WEST SIDE STORY before even taking your seat. Cathy Mundy as Momma Rose creates a faceted character with depth, backstory and motivation. The Ensemble is full of experienced leading men and women who blend beautifully and as Louise, MaryKate Brouillet manages to look about fourteen years old for most of the show before her Act II transformation. Full of catchy tunes, powerhouse vocalists, lively choreography and adorable children, Toby's Dinner Theatre in Columbia's production of GYPSY is an impressive crowd-pleaser.

The Trustees of The Laurents / Hatcher Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce that Something Clean by SELINA FILLINGER is recipient of the Laurents / Hatcher Foundation Award. Ms. Fillinger will receive $50,000 for the work, and Roundabout Theater Company, who will produce the premiere this spring, will receive $100,000 towards the production.

According to Deadline, the Emmy Award-winning creator of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Gilmore Girls, Amy Sherman-Palladino is currently in talks to direct a revived film remake of the musical Gypsy.
