Art Lab, the Noble Maritime Collection, Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, the Staten Island Children's Museum, and the Staten Island Museum will once again host "Halloween Harbor," the annual site-wide event on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 11 AM - 5 PM.

Independent Shakespeare Co.(ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival announce the world premiere of interdisciplinary artist Kalean Ung's original solo work, LETTERS FROM HOME, directed by Marina McClure, with music by Chinary Ung. LETTERS FROM HOME will play October 26 - November 18 at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #130 in Atwater Village.

It Happened in Key West, a major new romantic comedy musical by award-winning Broadway composer Jill Santoriello (A Tale of Two Cities) novelist Jason Huza and Jeremiah James, a member of international recording group Teatro, is to get its world premiere at London's Charing Cross Theatre in a strictly limited seven-week season from Thursday 4 July - Saturday 22 September.

An afternoon of art, live music, and cultural exploration is in store for all at the first ever Big Picnic today, June 16, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on the Gazebo Lawn on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden at 1000 Richmond Terrace. Activities include a scavenger hunt exploring the different indoor and outdoor features of the site, face painting, hula hooping, building structures in the Imagination Playground, and a book swap. Entertainment includes Music with Patrick, Wonderspark Puppets, Jambalaya Brass Band, and Bolly Dhamaal Dance.
