'Oprah's The Life You Want Weekend,' an eight-city arena tour and transformational weekend featuring Oprah Winfrey and a team of special guests, announced today an initiative to reward and inspire outstanding educators and mentors throughout the country with complimentary tickets to attend the life-changing weekend event. In each of the eight U.S. cities the tour will visit this fall, pairs of tickets will be distributed via Discovery Education, leading provider of digital content and professional development for K-12 classrooms, and Step Up, the nonprofit that inspires women to inspire teen girls to fulfill their potential. Discovery Education will distribute tickets to deserving educators in and around each city, while Step Up will target member mentors.

On Monday, October 20, 2014, Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) will present its eighth annual Sing for Hope Gala, uniting New York's philanthropic and cultural leaders for a magical evening in support of Sing for Hope's programs that bring the arts to under-resourced areas. The event will be co-chaired by Marina Kellen French, Margie Loeb, and Ann Ziff, and will take place at the beautiful Tribeca Rooftop in downtown Manhattan.

Celebrating 15 years, The Trevor Project will honor Arianna Huffington with the Trevor Hero Award at "TrevorLIVE New York" on June 16th at the Marriott Marquis, presented by Wells Fargo. Huffington will be honored for her ongoing support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) community. The award will be presented at The Trevor Project's high-profile evening of music, comedy and entertainment which brings together top entertainers, advocates and corporate leaders to support the organization's life-saving, life-affirming work for LGBT and questioning youth in crisis.

On the heels of the recent launch of its global Westin Well-being Movement, Westin Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce the addition of Arianna Huffington to the Movement's Well-being Council. The Well-being Movement is an ambitious $15 million campaign designed to enhance the well-being of guests and associates around the world, and Huffington's role on the Council will be to serve as the expert on all things pertaining to the hotel brand's Work Well pillar. Huffington joins fellow Council member Andy Puddicombe, Headspace co-founder and meditation expert, who was appointed ambassador of the Feel Well pillar as part of the campaign's launch last month. As the Westin Well-being Movement progresses, Huffington and Puddicombe will be joined by other Council members, each of whom aligns with one of Westin's six wellness brand pillars: Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well and Play Well.
