Sometimes the words we speak become a secret code for what we really feel. Shortly before an audition for her first professional Shakespeare play, gifted and entitled young actor Anna arrives in a college rehearsal hall expecting help from brilliant, bitter acting instructor Curt. When their work together leads to professional success but personal misery, they must decide whether or not to break their Shakespeare code and uncover how they really feel about each other.

Cheltenham Literature Festival Announces Full Lineup, Including Matthew Bourne

For culture lovers, there's really only one place to be this autumn and that's The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. Running from Friday till Sunday, October 2-11 the Festival boasts speakers as diverse as Ronnie Wood, Martha Lane Fox, Matthew Bourne, George the Poet, Garry Kasparov, Jeanette Winterson, Nick Clegg, Nigel Mansell, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Nick Frost, Nigella Lawson, Bill Bryson and Gino D'Acampo.

OTHELLO Set for Ale House Theatre, Now thru 5/2

Celebrated African-Canadian artist, Anthony Sherwood, leads a new production of Shakespeare's The Tragedie of Othello, the Moore of Venice presented by Ale House Theatre, tonight, April 17th-May 2nd, 2015. The play, seldom staged in Toronto, will be performed on a Renaissance-inspired stage in the heart of Trinity-Spadina. Sherwood is joined by Shaw Festival actor Patric Masurkevitch, Alumnae Theatre darling Andrea Brown, and up-and-comers Hilary McCormack as Desdemona and Tayves Fiddis as Iago.
