With crisp autumn air and family gatherings aplenty, Aurora Theatre extends fall fun with holiday festivities this Thanksgiving season! Theatergoers are welcomed to enjoy Latin American entertainment and themed performances with Teatro Aurora's CLUB BABAL series. Aspiring thespians can delight in Aurora Theatre Academy's 2017 Holiday Play Class throughout the month, while preparing to wow audiences and steal the limelight! Guests are invited to spread the holiday cheer by supporting the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive and local food banks with a gift under a decorated tree during Aurora Theatre's Festival of Trees and spread joy by nominating someone special for Aurora's Need a Little Christmas Giveaway. With a variety of holiday happenings at Aurora Theatre this month, there's something for everyone to reap a harvest of fun!

In the mood for a thrill? Join Aurora Theatre for spooktacular fun with Lawrenceville Ghost Tours and Lawrenceville Haunted Cemetery Tours this October! Guests will be guided on a moonlit walk, accompanied by spooky storytellers who tell tales of awakened sleeping ghosts and increased paranormal activity in metro-Atlanta's oldest city. Without the use of gore, these tours encourage happy haunting while offering a healthy dose of spine-chilling scares. Blockbuster Musical MAMMA MIA! Added to Aurora Theatre 2017-18 Season

???????Here we go again, Aurora Theatre fans! Bringing audiences the biggest title ever produced by the North Georgia arts leader, the Aurora Theatre team unveils plans to present Mamma Mia! as part of the 2017-2018 Peach State Federal Credit Union Signature Series! Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, is set to run from March 8 - April 22, 2018.

Aurora Theatre Stages Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright Nilo Cruz's PAIS DE BICICLETA, 4/7- 30

Aurora Theatre's Teatro Aurora series presents Pais de Bicicleta, from playwright Nilo Cruz (last season's Sotto Voce, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Anna in the Tropics) also part of the celebrated GGC Harvel Lab Series in the intimate Aurora Studio. Audiences will be immersed in the lives of three refugees with a lust for freedom, finally trying to make a successful journey across the sea from Havana to Miami. The play's magical realism comes with whip-fast dialogue that stings with vitality and is stitched with the Latin love of music and dance. The play is performed in Spanish with English supertitles.

Aurora Theatre Announces Dazzling 2017-18 Performance Season

Aurora Theatre is opening the curtain to unveil its 2017-2018 Peach State Federal Credit Union Signature Series! Georgia's second largest professional theater will once again bring Broadway-caliber productions of unsurpassed talent and theatrics to the Lawrenceville's charming downtown square. This season's diverse line-up features THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, ABIGAIL/1702, MAYTAG VIRGIN,RIPCORD and the highly anticipated return of the celebrated holiday classic CHRISTMAS CANTEEN 2017. One additional show, a blockbuster musical slated for a Spring 2018 production, is an audience favorite and will be announced over the summer. The timeless tale of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge (Anthony Rodriguez) and his quest for forgiveness unfolds in an unforgettable journey of transformation through Christmas past, present and future. Deemed one of the greatest Christmas stories of all time, audiences of all ages will delight in the spirit of the season as they revisit the splendor of what makes this production a holiday tradition!

BWW Review: Forever Entertaining FANTISTICKS Receives a Sterling Production at Pasadena Playhouse

The longest running musical in the world The Fantasticks is always at its best when produced and performed with simplicity. When I first saw it in New York in the 60s, it was performed in a cabaret space against a brick wall, with the suspension of a paper moon above. You can't get much simpler than that. In the current revival at the Pasadena Playhouse, the setting is bigger: a dilapidated, war-torn theatre in Southern California, shuttered since 1969, into which the actors enter to create art. The space may be bigger than the original, but the fine work on display maintains simplicity, especially in its message of love. This is a stunning production, one of the very best I have seen, with a magnificent interracial cast under the seamless direction of Seema Sueko.
