THE IRISH CURSE Opens At The Soho Playhouse 3/17/2010

Sarahbeth Grossman and Craig Zehms today announced that they would present the Off-Broadway premiere of Martin Casella's acclaimed comedy THE IRISH CURSE at the Soho Playhouse, 15 Vandam Street (between Avenue of the Americas & Varick Street) beginning an open-ended run on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th.

American Heartland Theatre presents an encore of the off-Broadway hit, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Heralded as 'The most entertaining show on or off Broadway!' by Gannett Newspapers, when the off-Broadway run of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change closed in the summer of 2008, it had played 5,003 performances and 20 previews, an astonishingly long run by any measure, but downright historic for an off-Broadway musical (and second only to the run of The Fantasticks). Its 12-year run is a true testament to the enduring charm, wit, and wonder of this musical. Returning to the American Heartland Theatre March 12th through April 25th, 2010, 12 years after its Kansas City premiere, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is back and better than ever.

Katsalas Theatre Company Presents World Premiere of INFLUENCE, 3/6-4/4

The Katselas Theatre Company will be presenting the world premiere of Shem Bitterman's Influence. Directed by Steve Zuckerman, the dark comedy opens Saturday, March 6 at 8PM at the Skylight Theatre- previews begin February 26. Ticket are $25 for general admission and $15 for students. Eric Rosen kicks off his second season as Kansas City Rep's artistic director with an audacious production of INTO THE WOODS (September 18 - October 4). The Tony Award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine is being staged by Broadway director Moisés Kaufman, who will take the audience on a wild trip into the darker side of the woods, where they will experience a different version of familiar fairy tale characters. Choreography is by Daniel Pelzig. The show also features extensive puppetry created by Kansas City's puppet master Paul Mesner.
