UM Brings SHE LOVES ME to the Stage This Week

Combining student and faculty talent from across genres into one production, the University of Montana will bring “She Loves Me” to the stage. The production is a partnership between the School of Theatre and Dance and School of Music.

Theater Latte Da Awards $20,000 Next Generation Commission To Support New Musical Theatre By Women and BIPOC Artists

Theater Latté Da today announces Bethany Brinton, Crystal Manich and Celeste Moreno as the recipients of the NEXT Generation Commission in 2022, furthering Theater Latté Da's commitment to providing opportunities for women artists and BIPOC artists. The NEXT Generation Commission supports the creation and development of new musical theatre projects whose creative teams are at least 50% women artists or BIPOC artists. The creative team will share the $20,000 commission.

BWW Review: A CHORUS LINE at Titusville Playhouse

A CHORUS LINE, the hit Broadway musical about performers auditioning for a Broadway show played for 6,137 performances in its original run due to several factors. Audiences simply connected with the characters on stage and related to their lives, their experiences, and their passion for pursuing their dreams. Add in a fabulous and catchy score and some amazing choreography and you have a recipe for an enthralling musical – in fact, one of the most popular musicals of all time. It is not surprising, then, that the Titusville Playhouse selected this classic to present as its latest production – providing audiences with an emotional, energetic, and wildly entertaining production that thrills from the first moments to the last.

Los Angeles Master Chorale to Host 33rd Annual High School Choir Festival

Celebrating its 33rd year and returning to an in-person celebration, the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s annual High School Choir Festival (HSCF), led by Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director Grant Gershon, will take place at The Music Center’s Grand Park, Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. Bringing together 500 high school students from 18 schools, the Festival will feature music from Sam Cooke and Sara Bareilles, to Reena Esmail and Handel. Sixteen singers from the Los Angeles Master Chorale, conducted by Associate Artistic Director Jenny Wong, will also perform.
