Each year since 1976, the New Jersey Jazz Society has presented Jazzfest, one of the best mainstream jazz festivals in the entire metropolitan New York City area. This year is no exception as this popular jazz picnic pays tribute to recent New Jersey Hall of Fame inductees Count Basie and Les Paul.

Marge Rivingston, the renowned singing teacher of performers like Bette Midler, Maureen McGovern, Robby Benson, Robert DeNiro, Christine Ebersole, Linda Ronstadt, Harry Groener and Meryl Streep, will be conducting a Mini Master Class in Singing and sign copies of her new book, 'Do You Hear What I Hear? The Secrets of One of America's Great Singing Teachers,' at Awakenings Book Store; 25260 La Paz Road; Suite D & E; Laguna Hills, CA 92653 on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). The Kurt Weill Project, an innovative new quartet created to explore the music of Kurt Weill will debut in a prime time engagement at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, from March 25 to March 29. Consisting of four highly accomplished musicians -- Hilary Gardner (vocals), Frank Ponzio (piano), Pete Donovan (bass) and Vito Lesczak (drums) -- The Kurt Weill Project premieres 'A Song About Forever' featuring songs from the group's debut CD of the same name which was put out last year (Consolidated Artists Productions).
