BWW Review: Moonbox Ascends THE 39 STEPS

Moonbox Productions requires you to use your imagination, but you will be duly rewarded thanks to the talents of Director Allison Olivia Choat, her crew, and the four-person cast of THE 39 STEPS. Kevin Cirone, Sarah Gazdowicz, Bob Mussett, and Matthew Zahnzinger are all top-notch, and the designers pull out all the stops to take you on a wild ride.

For its second offering of the season, Centaur Theatre brings another blockbuster to the stage. The 39 Steps, by British actor, comedian and playwright, Patrick Barlow, (Absolutely Fabulous, Bridget Jones's Diary, Shakespeare in Love) is an uproarious send-up of Alfred Hitchcock's film noire adaptation of the spy thriller, written by UK novelist, John Buchan. Eda Holmes directs the rollicking ride, her first turn at bat as Centaur's new Artistic and Executive Director.

Moonbox Productions, nominated for numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to present the hilarious comic thriller, The 39 Steps, by Patrick Barlow and John Buchan. Produced by Sharman Altshuler and directed by IRNE and Norton nominated Director, Allison Olivia Choat, The 39 Steps opens on November 17th and runs through December 9th at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Theater, 539 Tremont Street, Boston. BWW Review: Actors Co-op Delivers Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS

Who can top the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock? His stamp on any work makes it eternally the best. Book adaptor Patrick Barlow takes a suspenseful Hitchcock film (1935) of the same name The 39 Steps and fashions a thoroughly entertaining, highly comedic and cinematically monumental suspense yarn for the stage. Director Kevin Chesley and the fine 4-member cast at Actors Co-op make it work as good as it can get anywhere, anytime.

Brooklyn Welcomes 35TH ANNUAL MERMAID PARADE 6/17

Coney Island USA's 35th Annual Mermaid Parade will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2017. The parade starts at the corner of West 21st Street and Surf Avenue, and proceeds east on Surf Avenue to West 10th Street, where it turns south to the Boardwalk, and then north back to Steeplechase Plaza, where it concludes.
