Syfy Greenlights 'High Moon' Pilot Based on Best-Selling John Christopher Novel

Syfy is greenlighting Reunion Pictures' new series pilot High Moon, an adaptation of John Christopher's best-selling novel The Lotus Caves, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President, Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Reunion Pictures is producing the 90-minute pilot which is expected to begin production in Vancouver this fall.

Ken Stott, Anna Friel & Samuel West to Star in UNCLE VANYA this Winter, Directed by Lindsay Posner

This autumn Ken Stott, Anna Friel and Samuel West are united together on stage for the first time in one of Anton Chekhov's undisputed masterpieces, Uncle Vanya. Adapted by Christopher Hampton, Uncle Vanya uniquely blends sparkling wit and earthy humour to brilliant comic effect. Directed by Lindsay Posner with designs by Christopher Oram, this new production opens at the Vaudeville Theatre on 2 November 2012 with previews from 24 October.

Jeremy Herrin directs the World Premiere of Matthew Dunster's Children's Children running at the Almeida now through 30 June 2012, with press night on 24 May. The cast comprises Emily Berrington (Effie), Beth Cordingly (Louisa), Darrell D'Silva (Michael), Trevor Fox (Gordon), John MacMillan (Castro) and Sally Rogers (Sally). SyFy's NEVERLAND Premiere Soars in the Ratings

The opening night of Syfy's original miniseries Neverland captivated 2.59 million total viewers during its premiere on Sunday, December 4 from 9-11PM (ET/PT), up 5% compared to Syfy's last original miniseries Alice in 2009.

Syfy's Fall Programming Features Premiere of Paranormal Witness & More

Syfy will take the chill out of the air with a robust fall programming lineup featuring the series premiere of Paranormal Witness, the annual spook-a-thon 31 Days of Halloween culminating with Ghost Hunters Halloween Live telecast, and the 4-hour movie event Neverland, an original prequel to Peter Pan featuring Oscar nominee Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell.

Keira Knightley to Lend Voice to Syfy's NEVERLAND

According to Deadline.com, Keira Knightley, who is currently starring THE CHILDREN'S HOUR alngside Elizabeth Moss in the West End, will lend her voice to Syfy's new miniseries, 'Neverland.' Knightley will voice Tinkerbell in the project, which was penned by Nick Willing.

Film and Television Industry Expected to Boost Irish Economy by €200 Million This Year

Mary Hanafin TD, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport visited the set of the feature film ‘Neverland' currently in production in Ireland. ‘Neverland' is one of many film and TV productions filming in Ireland this year which will be exported to audiences around the globe. It is estimated that, despite the global financial downturn, the entire film and television industry will contribute an estimated €200 million to the Irish economy in 2010 in terms of spend on local goods, employment and services.

McKellen, Pickup, Rees & Kelly Will Be 'WAITING FOR GODOT' at the Theatre Royal Haymarket 21 January - 3 April 2010

Ian McKellen (Estragon) and Ronald Pickup (Lucky) will be joined by Roger Rees (Vladimir) and Matthew Kelly (Pozzo) in Sean Mathias' production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot which will have a further run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 21 January - 3 April 2010. Mathias' sell-out production opened in May this year following a national tour and played to packed houses through its run, breaking all previous Theatre Royal Haymarket Box Office records.
