Actor Richard Thomas will host Westport Country Playhouse's 2016 Gala "The Night They Invented Champagne: Celebrating Lerner & Loewe" on Monday evening, September 19. Performing the music of the legendary Broadway composing team will be artists Britney Coleman, Kristen Hahn, Robert Sean Leonard, Stephen Mark Lukas, Howard McGillin, Ciara Renee, Mary Testa, Richard Troxell, Max von Essen, Nicholas Ward, and members of the New York Theatre Ballet. Gala Director is Chase Brock, with musical direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

Westport Country Playhouse's 2016 Fundraising Gala will sing the praises of one of the most renowned Broadway musical composing teams with "The Night They Invented Champagne: Celebrating Lerner & Loewe," on Monday evening, September 19. The Gala theme will serve as a springboard for the Playhouse's October production of Lerner & Lowe's "Camelot," a freshly inventive take on the classic musical, directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director.

The stories you hear and the scenes you see are heartfelt, sometimes heart-wrenching, vulnerable, hilarious, fun, loving and supportive. We have a rotating cast of LGBTQ improvisers of all levels from all over New York City! Our actors range from newbies to Broadway sensations!

The World Premiere comedy ENDANGERED SPECIES by Tom Baum, a play about a professor facing his worst nightmare - a student who takes his teachings seriously, will have its Champagne Opening tonight, May 29, 2014 at 8:30 PM at the Detroit Repertory Theatre. The playwright will be flying in to see the Premiere of his play. All are invited to meet the playwright, and after the performance, join in a Champagne toast with the playwright, cast and crew in the elegant lobby gallery of Michigan's oldest professional, Union theatre in the heart of Detroit.

The Michigan Premiere production of MY OCCASION OF SIN by Monica Bauer will have a Grand Champagne Opening on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Detroit Repertory Theatre at 8:30 PM. As is the tradition for Opening Nights at the Rep, a free Champagne Reception will follow the performance with the cast, crew, and playwright who will be flying in to see her play. Tickets for Opening Night as well as all performances through March 16, 2014 are $17 advance, and may be purchased by phone with no extra fees, or $20 day of performance. The Detroit Repertory Theatre is located in the center of the City, easily accessible from all major freeways at 13103 Woodrow Wilson, Detroit, MI 48238.
