The Bernie & Sid Show is one of the most popular Talk Radio programs in the tri-state area and they were joined by Rita Cosby, Television news anchor, correspondent, radio host and best selling author for an evening of talk at the Friars Club last night. As usual, what happens in the Friars stays in the Friars. Bernie & Sid had a lively discussion about current events that wouldn't make the censors cut on 77 WABC but the Friars didn't have a problem with in the Frank Sinatra Dining Room. Rita Cosby's beautiful complexion turned a little redder than usual as she steered the two provocative talk show personalities around many of the issues of the day. The Q&A was also a lively event with Mayoral Candidate Bo Dietl having some interesting comments about the recent New York City election.

On Monday, October 7th, the Screen Actors Guild Foundation raised over $130,000 for its Catastrophic Health Fund and Assistance programs at its inaugural New York Golf Classic at Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, NY. Actor and SAG Foundation Board Member Ron Perlman hosted the first New York tournament benefitting performers facing life-threatening illnesses and severe economic hardship. Art Southampton's Nick Korniloff and Pamela Cohen, with Beth McNeill, The McNeill Group and her husband artist Jeff Muhs co-hosted an elegant Summer Soiree to kickoff the upcoming Art Southampton, presented by Art Miami, the premier international contemporary and modern art fair and marketplace for acquiring the finest works of art available in the Hamptons. The by-invitation-only event for young collectors and Art Southampton Host Committee members was held at the Muhs' sprawling Shinnecock Hills aerie in their beautifully landscaped sculpture garden and in their art filled home on July 5. While other institutions are jacking up prices to match the wallets of tourists and visitors alike, Bay Street Theatre is continuing to offer less expensive programming so that all may enjoy some summer fun. The week ahead includes free music and a free Salon Night, as well as a $20 ticket for experiencing a Live Radio Broadcast or a chat with ?floral designers to the stars.'

With that in mind, Bay Street Theatre has recently branched out to create new offerings in partnership with both The Parrish Art Museum and WLIU Radio.
