Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner Chita Rivera, Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block and Tony Sheldon, Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple, 'Orange is the New Black'), and Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland) are among those joining the stunning cast of this year's Broadway Backwards, a one-night-only musical celebration, custom-made for the LGBT community, our friends and families. In addition, it was announced that Tony winner Julie White, a longtime supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will host this year's 11th edition.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Allegiance will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Performances began at the Longacre Theatre on October 6, 2015 and the production officially opened on November 8, 2015. At the time of its closing it will have played 37 previews and 113 regular performances.

The King could soon be traveling from Siam to Anna's world in Britain! The Daily Mail writes that Tony winner Kelli O'Hara might be leading Broadway's THE KING AND I across the pond late next year or in early 2017, with the Drury Lane Theatre rumored as the musical's new home.

Musical Theatre Factory in association with The Chelsea Symphony presented a gala concert event 'Get Yourself Some New Orchestrations,' the launch of an exciting new series which pairs emergent musical theatre writers with Broadway orchestrators to commission stunning new orchestrations of their shows.
