Today, December 8, Palm Beach Dramaworks launches the third season of its highly successful Dramalogue - Talking Theatre! series with Paul Gemignani: Musical Theatre's Master Maestro. The program features the esteemed Broadway musical director in conversation with Sheryl Flatow. Gemignani, recipient of the 2001 Lifetime Achievement Tony Award, will discuss a remarkable career still going strong after more than 40 years, and talk about how he helps shape a show and bring a score to life. The program will be presented twice, at 2pm (limited seating available) and 7pm at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre.

Palm Beach Dramaworks is pleased to announce casting for its first three productions of the 2015-16 season, which will feature many familiar faces. Individual tickets for the entire season go on sale on Tuesday, September 8. 110 in the Shade, a richly evocative and touching musical about desperation, desire, and hope, opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on Friday, August 14 (8pm) and heats up the Don & Ann Brown Theatre through August 23. The show, with music by Harvey Schmidt, lyrics by Tom Jones, and a book by N. Richard Nash based on his play The Rainmaker, will be presented in concert, with direction by Clive Cholerton, choreography by Michelle Petrucci, and musical direction by Howard Breitbart.

Wall Street Journal Theatre Critic to Make Directorial Debut at Palm Beach Dramaworks

Terry Teachout, drama critic for The Wall Street Journal, playwright, librettist, and biographer, will add another title to his impressive list of accomplishments when he makes his directorial debut next season with Palm Beach Dramaworks' production of his acclaimed play, Satchmo at the Waldorf. The piece, in which Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong reminisces about his life and career just months before his death, closes out PBD's 2015 - 2016 season.

PBD to Present A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC in Concert, 7/10

Ah, liaisons! Old love is rekindled, young love is awakened, and foolish romantic escapades intertwine in Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's ravishing A Little Night Music, opening Friday, July 10 (8pm) at Palm Beach Dramaworks. This concert presentation, which runs through July 19 at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre, is directed by Lynnette Barkley, with musical direction by Kevin David Thomas. Leading the cast are William Michals, who previously captivated audiences in PBD's concert productions of Man of La Mancha and The Most Happy Fella; and Sondheim veteran Joy Franz, who created the role of the Stepmother in the original production of Into the Woods.
