Popular cabaret couple 'The Chamlins' are bringing back their critically acclaimed Jule Styne retrospective to Don't Tell Mama for two performances this Fall. The incredibly prolific Styne wrote hundreds of songs over his 60+-year career. Selections span his early days in jazz-infused Chicago (including the first song he ever published) to Hollywood in its studio heyday, on to the Golden Age of Broadway and television. Their longtime director Teresa Fischer is once again on board.
Tandy Cronyn will star in THE TALL BOY, a play by Simon Bent based on the short story 'The Lost' by Kay Boyle. It is directed by Bruch Reed, based on original staging by David Hammond. It will be presented Sept. 24 and November 2 at Theatre Row as part of United Solo Theatre Festival
On Thursday, August 21, 2014, Guild Hall presented a staged reading of Eugene Pack's new comedy, 'Night With Oscar.' Pack is an Emmy-nominated writer and winner of the Drama Desk Award for his work in creating and producing Guild Hall's 'Celebrity Autobiography.' His plays include 'Stan the Man,' 'The Whisper' and 'Columbus and Amsterdam.'
