The 2017 Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) Professional Company will present Much Ado About Nothing from August 15-27 in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center's Patricia George Decio Theatre on campus at the University of Notre Dame. Porchlight Music Theatre annouces that its 2017 ICONS Gala celebrating the career of Broadway legend Hal Prince held Sunday, April 30 in the Atlantic Ballroom at the Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago, 221 N. Columbus Drive, broke its records for number of attendees and funds raised, making it the most succesful gala in the organization's 22-year history. The Gala, with honorary chair Paul Lisnek, included special guest Lonny Price and performances from Chicago's leading talents celebrating the career of Hal Prince, the presentation of the 2017 Guy Adkins Award for Excellence in the Advancement of Music Theatre in Chicago to Rachel Rockwell and silent and live auctions. Proceeds from the event and its accompanying auctions benefit Porchlight's educational programs and productions.

Jeff Award-nominee and HIV+ director/producer Christopher Pazdernik is pleased to announce the 3rd annual CHRIS' BIRTHDAY BELT FEST, a benefit concert for Howard Brown Health on Monday, May 15 at 8 pm at Uptown Underground, 4707 N. In a London hotel room, with both her new young fiance and her adoring accompanist, Garland struggles to get 'beyond the rainbow' with her signature cocktail of talent, tenacity and razor-sharp wit. Featuring some of Garland's most memorable songs, this savagely funny play with music offers unique insight into the inner conflict that inspired and consumed one of the most beloved figures in American history. 

Award-winning Chicago dynamo Angela Ingersoll rings in the holiday season with her fun and festive one-woman-show The 12 Dames of Christmas at the Elgin Community College Arts Center.  Backed by a stellar band, Ingersoll takes audiences on a hilarious and heartwarming journey through the holiday songbook as she applies her impressively versatile voice to holiday classics by twelve legendary songstresses.  The 12 Dames of Christmas will be performed at the ECC Arts Center's Blizzard Theatre, 1700 Spartan Drive in Elgin on Saturday, December 10 at 7 p.m.
