Joe's Pub will continue to host several benefits in support of Hurricane Sandy victims throughout the holiday season. December's Sandy fundraisers include Mike Daisey's Where Water Meets With Water, The Broadway Boys, Nuyorican Poets Cafe Benefit, Rachael Sage and Still Here!, a spoken-word event featuring Sarah Kay, Andy Suzuki & The Method, Arthur Lewis and Laura Brown-Lavoie. On Thursday, December 13, the upcoming musical stage adaptation of Richard Matheson's acclaimed novel and Universal Pictures film SOMEWHERE IN TIME will be presented at a private industry reading in midtown Manhattan.

According to the New York Times, show creator Kathie Lee Gifford, and lead producers Dick and Betsy DeVos are working hard to prevent an early closing.

The Broadway Boys will once again host Broadway's favorite holiday party and concert with the 7th Annual BROADWAY SINGS FOR TOYS: A Benefit for Toys for Tots, Monday, December 10th at 7pm. This year?s concert is a cocktail party/concert/toy drive featuring Broadway's hottest talent and is one of the most joyful and inspirational holiday events of the year.

A staged reading of They Promised Her the Moon will be presented Monday, December 3rd at 4pm, directed by Valentina Fratti. They Promised Her the Moon is based on the true story of Geraldyn 'Jerrie' Cobb, the first woman to be tested for space flight. Along with twelve other women, Cobb went through the rigors of physical and mental testing only to be told that women would not be considered for NASA's astronaut training program.

Rubicon Theatre Artistic Directors KARYL LYNN BURNS and JAMES O'NEIL announced the company's 15th Anniversary Season at a preview event for subscribers, donors and media last earlier this month at the theatre's home in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District. The event was hosted by Rubicon Board President DR. ROZ WARNER and Board of Advisors' Chair/Board Vice-President JEFF SMITH, with onstage appearances by several of the directors, writers and performers for the season.
