Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's hit Off Broadway show, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, welcomed its newest cast, including comedian and journalist Jenny Allen (I Got Sick Then I Got Better), Broadway actress Maddie Corman (Next Fall), TV and stage veteran Eve Plumb ('The Brady Bunch'), and TV newcomer Amanda Setton ('Gossip Girl,' 'One Life to Live') on Thursday, November 3. They join returning cast member Zuzanna Szadkowski ('Gossip Girl'). The new cast performs through December 4, 2011.

The fabulous Lypsinka, Tony Award-winner Alan Cumming (CABARET, 'The Good Wife'), and Tony nominees Alison Fraser (SECRET GARDEN, ROMANCE/ROMANCE) and Andrew Rannells (BOOK OF MORMON) all made appearances at Abingdon Theatre Company's 19th Annual Benefit Gala yesterday, October 24 at Espace, honoring Charles Busch, Julie Halston and Timothy P. Speiss. Beth Leavel, a Tony winner for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE emceed the gala. Carl Andress, who helmed Busch's THE DIVINE SISTER, THE THIRD STORY, DIE MOMMIE DIE! and SHANGHAI MOON, directed.

Josh Gad's Political Comedy Picked Up by NBC

According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC has just picked up a new comedy pilot from Tony nominee Josh Gad. Titled 1600 Penn, the pilot is about 'a dysfunctional family that just happens to live at the most famous address in America.' Gad will executive produce the project along with Jon Lovett and Jason Winer.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 18th time. The show earned $1,337,952.07 in the 1,068-seat O'Neill, one of Broadway's smallest theatres, for the week ending Sunday, October 9, 2011. Andrew Rannells to Host Ars Nova's Fall Benefit, 10/3

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) proudly announces Fall Into the Nova, a benefit to support emerging artists. The concert features the music of emerging composers Justin Levine (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Shaina Taub (The Daughters), and Daniel Zaitchik (Picnic at Hanging Rock), and will be hosted by The Book of Mormon's Andrew Rannells. The music will be performed by a host of Broadway and Off-Broadway stars, including Jeannette Bayardelle, Matt Doyle, Demon Green, Grace McLean, Kathy Voytko, Teal Wicks and Betsy Wolfe. The concert will take place in the Ars Nova theater on Monday, October 3 at 7:00pm. Proceeds from the evening will help support Ars Nova?s extensive artistic development initiatives and programming. Tickets to the concert are scaled at $250 general admission, and $500 reserved admission, and both tickets include an invitation to an exclusive artist cocktail party in the Ars Nova Loft immediately following the performance. This summer, BroadwayWorld.com introduced it's first, exclusive, fully scripted program series - SUBMISSIONS ONLY, created, written, and directed by Kate Wetherhead and Andrew Keenan-Bolger. The pair also stars in the series, which enjoyed an extremely successful Season 1 on YouTube and was streamed throughout the summer on BroadwayWorld.com in anticipation of SUBMISSIONS ONLY's second season, which will now be broadcast EXCLUSIVELY on BroadwayWorld. BroadwayWorld was, of course, on hand for the SUBMISSIONS ONLY Season 2 launch party on Monday, September 26 and we bring you photo coverage below! The first episode of the new season will premiere to the public on BWW on Friday, September 30.
