Singer, songwriter and activist Gavin Creel's newest solo album, Get Out, is now available on iTunes and Amazon.com. Last night, Creel previewed songs from the album at two sold-out concerts at Joe's Pub, streamed on LiveStream for fans across the country (http://new.livestream.com/joespub/gavincreel).

Newsies, the new American musical, has extended its limited Broadway engagement through August 19, 2012. Tickets for the extension dates (June 11th through August 19th) will go on sale Tuesday, March 20th at 10am. Singer, songwriter and activist Gavin Creel (HAIR; Thoroughly Modern Millie) will step back onto theJoe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) stage for one-night-only, to celebrate the release of his brand new solo album Get Out on Monday, March 19. Creel will play a 7:00 PM and a 9:30 PM, both sold-out! But fans that aren't able to be at the show in person will be able to watch the 9:30 PM concert live via LiveStream (http://new.livestream.com//joespub/gavincreel), a first for Creel. Last night, March 12, Robert Redford hosted the first-ever New York benefit celebrating The Sundance Institute Theatre Program at The Bowery Hotel. Participants included Sundance Institute Theatre Program alumni Denis O'Hare (Performance of An Iliad, at New York Theatre Workshop), Lisa Peterson Scott Frankel, Jeanine Tesori, Georgi James and Christine Ebersole, who recreated 'Little Edie Beale' from Grey Gardens. Newsies, the new American musical which will move to Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St) for a strictly limited 101 performance run following its critically-hailed stint at Paper Mill Playhouse last fall, will be given an original Broadway cast recording. The musical's cast is recording the album from March 4th-5th and it is set to be released by Ghostlight Records in the spring.

The musical Carrie made her return eagerly awaiting return to New York City last night after the show's notoriously short 1988 run on Broadway. Disney Theatrical Productions has just announced that a limited number of orchestra tickets to Newsies will be available via lottery at The Nederlander Theatre beginning March 15th. Beginning two and a half hours before every performance, patrons are invited to enter the lottery; winners will be drawn two hours before each performance. Winners may then purchase up to two $30.00 cash only tickets to that day's performance. Winners must be present with valid identification at the time of the drawing. The lottery will be offered before every performance other than the opening night performance on March 29th. Complete terms and conditions of the lottery can be found below.

'Submissions Only,' Broadway's favorite behind-the-scenes sitcom, will continue in its second season this month with special guest stars Mark Kudish (9 to 5, The Apple Tree), Cass Morgan (Memphis, Mary Poppins), Condola Rashad (Stick Fly, Ruined) and more appearing in Episode 6, which will air Friday, March 2 exclusively on BroadwayWorld!

Disney Theatrical Productions has just announced the song list for the upcoming Broadway production of Newsies, beginning performances at the Nederlander Theatre (208 W. 41st Street) on March 15th.
