Watch the special behind-the-scenes look at NEWSIES on ABC's Nightline below! NEWSIES is currently playing at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St) for a strictly limited 101 performance run following its critically-hailed stint at Paper Mill Playhouse last fall.

Newsies, the new American musical that just received eight Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, will be featured on ABC's "Nightline" tonight, May 3. Correspondent John Berman talks with the cast of Newsies and explains how the plot, set in 1899, has re-energized a new protest generation. "Nightline" airs nationally on ABC at 11:30p.m.

Earlier this morning, stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth & Jim Parsons announced this year's Tony nominees from the New York Public Library. In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. Below are the eligible performers and shows who were not nominatined in the major categories.

This Friday, April 27, 'Submissions Only' will air its episode 2 season finale, featuring previously announced guest star Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, On The Town), right here on BroadwayWorld. While epsiode scoop is expected tomorrow, today, BroadwayWorld is excited to reveal that the boys of Newsies will also appear in the episode doing what they do best - dancing and singing. On April 13th, SILENCE! The Musical received the 2012 Telly Award for Use of Humor in a Television Commercial. The hit Off-Broadway show's new commercial won the prestigious honor at the 33rd Annual Telly Awards over nearly 11,000 entries from around the world. 'The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,' said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. SILENCE! Sting caught NEWSIES on Broadway this weekend with his wife, Trudie Styler, and the couple posed with the show's stars - Jeremy Jordan as Jack Kelly and Kara Lindsay as Katherine Plumber. Check out the photo below!

'Submissions Only' is in full production for Episode 8 of its second season, and BroadwayWorld was invited inside the shoot with special guest star Jesse Tyler Ferguson! Details of the episode are under wraps, but it promises to deliver special surprises featuring additional returning guest stars Beth Leavel as Penny's mother, Val, and Rick Elice as her step father, Don Martin, with more to be announced soon!

For the second installment in their series 'Cam's Cam-eo,' the 'Good Morning America' cameras were there as correspondent Cameron Mathison made a series of cameos in a recent performance of Newsies, after spending the day with the company learning how to be a newsie.
