The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is offering local high school students the chance to produce a powerful classic American drama.

R. Erin Craig / La Vie Productions and Kevin Connor in association with Antoinette DiPietropolo and BoCo Student Government present a reading ACADEMY, conceived and developed by Andrew Kato, and written by John Mercurio, on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Boston Conservatory in Boston, MA.

The 2014/15 season will begin with The Foreigner (October 26 - November 9), an uproariously funny adventure set in a rural Georgia fishing lodge that follows a shy man who adopts a persona as a non-English-speaking foreigner. We continue with Fiddler on the Roof (December 2 - 21), the Tony Award-winning classic musical that follows dairyman Tevye as he fights to maintain his family and heritage. Next up in The Wiz (January 13 - February 1), the spirited, rock gospel and soul Tony Award-winning musical based on the classic tale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - perfect for the entire family. Then join us for Glengarry Glen Ross (February 8 - 22), David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece about a group of tough-talking Chicago real estate agents who will do anything to close a deal. Our incredible season ends with a four-week run of the Tony Award-winning phenomenon Les Miserables (March 10 - April 5), an epic and inspiring production not to be missed!

After an invited dress rehearsal and three previews, opening night is finally upon us. Our bodies are all thankful that rehearsal has slowed (we are only called 2-5 today) and I am thoroughly enjoying my morning off as I sit here in my bed with my laptop. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has earned 19 nominations for the 38th annual Carbonell Awards, South Florida's equivalent of the Tony Awards.

The Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning singular sensation bursts onto the Theatre's stage January 14 - February 2, featuring an iconic plot that follows the audition process of theatre "gypsies" as they try to land a job in a Broadway show. Complete with a large orchestra, timeless scenic design and cast of 26 triple threat performers, A Chorus Line is packed with unforgettable Marvin Hamlisch and Edward Kleban songs, including What I did for Love and One.

During the run of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's December performances of the musical Annie, the Theatre collected more than 100 unwrapped toys for the Theatre's nonprofit partner Little Smiles by placing a designated box in the lobby. Scroll down for a photo!

An all-new Alice in Wonderland like you've never seen it before, Through the Looking Glass will come to life on November 15 at 7:30 p.m. and November 16 at 8 p.m., featuring eye-popping sets, costumes, black light theatre, magic and puppets. Tickets are only $25 for adults and $15 for students.

Getting into the spirit of Halloween, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened its 2013-2014 season with Frederick Knott's tale of intrigue Dial M for Murder. Unlike the classic whodunit mystery, however, the play revolves not on solving the crime but on watching the main character squirm as he tries to get away with murder.

To catch a first glimpse of the exciting renovations that have been taking place all summer, the public is invited to visit the Theatre for a free open house today, October 28, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Deception, jealousy and lies all make for the perfect mystery as the Maltz Jupiter Theatre kicks off its 2013/14 season with the thrilling classic drama Dial M for Murder. With shows that run October 27 - November 10, the plot follows a husband's plot to kill his unfaithful wife for money. But will his ingenious plan be exposed when the perfect murder goes awry? A hair-raising murder mystery filled with forbidden love, blackmail and backstabbers, this thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat.

There is magic happening all around the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and its staff needs your skills and enthusiasm. This season, join the Theatre's cast of more than 400 volunteers and become a part of the fabric of the award-winning professional theatre. Volunteers are needed for every department in the Theatre, with jobs based on talents, skills and interests.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has broken all previous records by exceeding 7,537 subscribers for the current 2013/14 season, Your Ticket to Great Entertainment! In its first day of single ticket sales on Monday, the Theatre posted a record $102,000 in sales, the most ever earned in a single day. The previous record was $57,000.

Single tickets for the Theatre's 2013/14 season are now on sale, as of 10 a.m. today, Monday, Aug. 26. For the first time, patrons may purchase club level premium seats (available for the last four season productions), accessible through the Theatre's newly renovated private upstairs club level, The Green Room. All club level premium seats are $79 and include one free drink.
