Last night (30 November 2017), the West End Company of Annie officially welcomed Meera Syal who now plays the role of Miss Hannigan in the hit musical at the Piccadilly Theatre. Syal celebrated with friends and family, including Lolita Chakrabarti, Sean Foley, Nitin Ganatra, Twiggy and Leigh Lawson and Nicola Walker, as well as fellow cast members. Syal will play the role of Miss Hannigan for the duration of the run which concludes, as previously announced, on 18 February 2018 at the Piccadilly Theatre.
The fifth year of the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience is in the history books, as the excitement came to a close on June 11th with its annual awards event at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. The Boston One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) returns with a twist: the sixth annual festival will celebrate the works of all women-identified playwrights and directors, as part of 1MPF's National Women's Initiative. Boston joins New York, Minneapolis, Chicago, South Florida, and other cities including an all women-identified cohort of artists this season. The aim of this program is to get a cohort of women-identified theatremakers in the room, uphold the important themes, ideas, conversations, and dialogues that bubble up to the surface, and hold space for valuable community conversations.

Linzi Hateley returns to the role of Donna Sheridan in the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at London's Novello Theatre from Monday 13 June 2016. This is a role she has played twice before in London - from 2007-2009 and in 2010. Her other recent theatre credits include the national tour of Barnum, London Road (National Theatre) and Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre). Linzi also appeared in the film version of London Road.

From Tuesday 18 August 2015, Matt Corner will play the role of Frankie Valli in the ongoing UK and Ireland tour of Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical JERSEY BOYS. Matt previously played the role at certain performances.
Let's Face the Music and Dance with Top Hat at the Theatre Royal until Saturday 13 December. Stepping into the tap dancing shoes of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the lead roles of Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont, are Alan Burkitt and Charlotte Gooch, who both return to Top Hat having previously performed these roles in the West End.
