The Acting Company announces the full cast of its one-night-only benefit reading of The Night of the Iguana, Tennessee Williams' feverishly poetic 1961 drama,at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues), on Monday, June 11.

TodayTix, the international ticketing platform on a mission to redefine the way people experience theater, has partnered with the Alley Theatre to offer the first mobile Rush in Houston on the TodayTix app. The mobile Rush will offer exclusive access to $20 tickets, beginning with the theater's production of "The Cake," running June 1 to July 1, 2018, and continuing with "Holmes and Watson," running June 22 to July 22, 2018.

Schimmel Center will present Tony and Pulitzer Prize nominee Anna Deavere Smith's Obie Award-winning solo performance, Notes From the Field, for one weekend only on Friday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Today, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in preparation for a two week run at the Royal Court in London. The production is directed by Leonard Foglia and features original music composed and performed by bassist Marcus Shelby who joins Ms. Smith on stage.

The Orchard Project is proud to announce the artists, teams, and ensembles participating in its twelfth summer theatre residency program. The Boston Theater Critics Association (BTCA) celebrated more than two dozen outstanding actors, directors, designers, and ensembles at The 36th Annual Elliot Norton Awards ceremony at the Huntington Avenue Theatre last night. The coveted Elliot Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence was presented to Leigh Barrett, Robert J. Eagle received a Special Citation in honor of his 50 years at Reagle Music Theatre, and the Guest of Honor Award went to internet sensation Randy Rainbow.

Artistic Director Diane Paulus' hit production The Donkey Show will celebrate its 800th performance on June 2, 2018 at 10:30PM. To mark the occasion, A.R.T. is offering 80 dance floor tickets for just $10 each at performances throughout the month of June, subject to availability. Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth has announced the world premiere of GLORIA: A LIFE, a new play about Gloria Steinem as a symbol of past, present and future change. The play is based on her life and work, and written by Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say). It is directed by the visionary Tony Award-winning Diane Paulus (Waitress, Pippin).

The selection committee for the inaugural session of The 5th Avenue Theatre's new musical initiative, First Draft: Raise Your Voice, has been announced. This cycle is currently soliciting submissions nation-wide from womxn, gender non-conforming and non-binary folx with a submission deadline of June 15. Comprised of a team of outstanding womxn, the selection committee includes performers, producers, directors, playwrights and thought leaders in the Seattle theater landscape: Desdamona Chiang, Lauren DuPree, Keiko Green, Allison Narver, and Sarah Porkalob, lead by The 5th's Kelsey Thorgalsen and Bill Berry.

Tom Waits has been painting an Americana landscape with his music over the past three decades. Much of his lyrics weave fictional individuals through nonfictional settings in the same 'dirty reality' style American short-story writer Raymond Carver and poet Charles Bukowski displayed in their works. The characters, the lives they lead, the dialogs, the monologs all within Waits vast encyclopedia of songs lend themselves to a theatrical setting where all are could be brought to life.

Theatre Forward is pleased to announce the inaugural recipients of its Advancing Strong Theatre grant program, an initiative focused on funding and promoting greater access and opportunity in the American Theatre.  Advancing Strong Theatre seeks to accelerate change in the areas of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) by providing the resources for recipients to explore, initiate or deepen collaborative relationships with those from a group currently under-represented in the activities of the theatre as audience members or participants in other programs.
