Theatre Horizon's 2018-19 Season Presents More Programming, More Choices

A new day is on the horizon at Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company located 20 miles outside of Center City Philadelphia in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The company's 2018-19 season features more programming, more variety, and more choices for patrons of the award-winning company, including regional premieres and exciting events that highlight some of the best area talent. This season boasts a brand new model for Theatre Horizon, one in which four smaller, limited engagement events will be presented alongside two more traditional productions with longer runs. Combined, these six offerings will provide audiences programming all season long, and an opportunity to discover something new in Norristown.

Print Room at the Coronet has today announced its Autumn/Winter season, featuring: the London transfer from Theatre Royal Bath, of ground-breaking US playwright Alice Childress's courageous Trouble in Mind; Coronet International Festival, celebrating the work of artists from across the world; and Winter's Tales, a series of Christmas readings by friends and famous faces for children and their families. Winding up the 2014 Antaeus season of modern classics, Gregg T. Daniel directs a fully partner-cast revival of Wedding Band: A Love/Hate Story in Black and White by Alice Childress. Wedding Band runs today, Oct. 18 through Dec. 7 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo, with low-priced previews beginning Oct. 9.

Danny Glover & Debbi Morgan to Host NFT 44th Anniversary Gala, 3/16

Woodie King, Jr.'s New Federal Theatre's 44th anniversary will culminate with a special Gala at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center (199 Chambers Street) on Sunday evening March 16th. This special event saluting NFT, for over 40 years a seminal force in Black Theater, will be hosted by Danny Glover and Debbi Morgan. Honorary Chairmen are Harry Belafonte and Hon. Mayor David N. Dinkins. The celebration will kick off at 4pm, and feature performances from Daniel Beaty, Impact Repertory Theater (Academy Award Nominee, 'Raise It Up' from the film August Rush), Chuck Jackson, and Valerie Simpson.
