Encore Kicks Off 'Big Miniseries Showcase' with THE CRIMSON PETAL AND THE WHITE, 9/10-11

Beginning this fall, ENCORE will present 'The Big Miniseries Showcase,' a mix of classic and new critically acclaimed miniseries on Monday nights at 8pm ET/PT. The slate will debut with the U.S. television premiere of the ENCORE Original miniseries, 'The Crimson Petal and the White.' The BAFTA nominated two-part drama will premiere on Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11 at 8pm ET/PT.

ENCORE is set to debut Original award-winning series 'The Crimson Petal and The White,' a four part miniseries adapted from Michel Faber's Bestselling novel (2002).Part one and two of the sweeping and gritty epic will air exclusively on ENCORE Friday, March 6th beginning at 9 PM et/pt, with its concluding parts three and four airing Saturday, March 7th at 9 PM et/pt.
Goold Directed 'King Lear' Starring Postlethwaite to Transfer to Young Vic

What's on Stage is reporting that King Lear, starring Pete Postlethwaite, directed by Rupert Goold will be transferring to the West End at the Young Vic Theatre in 2009. The show will begin performances at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool in early November and is already sold out.
